      COURSE OF STUDY

      Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree with major in Accounting or MBA with a course concentration in Accounting or experience in the Accounting field

      TERM

      • 1 year in length [37.5 hours per week during the summer; ~20-25 hours per week during school year]
      • Internship to begin end of May and end the following May
      • Location – Subaru Headquarters in Camden, NJ
      • $19 an hour (undergrad)

      QUALIFICATIONS

      • Junior (or a Senior planning to pursue a Master’s Degree in the fall)
      • Must be an active student for the entire length of internship
      • At least 1 year of work experience

      SKILLS

      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization
      • Proficiency Microsoft Office [Excel (familiarity with formulas), Word, PowerPoint]
      • Ability to work independently

      RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Processes nationwide auction sales (including online sales) daily after verifying the accuracy of the reported sales. Correspond with the National Fleet Remarketing Manager and auction representatives to resolve sale price discrepancies.
      • Prepares consolidated schedules and reports by obtaining data from various sources and ensuring that all necessary data is included and accurate.
      • Maintains schedules for vehicles shipments to the U.S. along with the daily related system activity.
      • Prepares miscellaneous Accounts Receivable billing for export fees, port processing, and vehicle damage.
      • Completes special projects and data analysis as needed per the Vehicle Accounting Manager.
      • Analyzes the list of aging rental turnbacks at auction. Occasionally prepares a summary chart for emails to be sent to the rental account representatives detailing vehicle delays and the actions needed.
      • Pulls data and provides screenshots for external auditors’ sample selections.

      SUMMARY

      Provides a supporting role to the Financial Analyst-Fleet and Sr. Accountant-Vehicle Inventory. Processes auction sales daily and prepares various schedules as needed. Works primarily in Microsoft Excel and interfaces with accounting systems including Oracle.
