      The Opportunity:

      ECI has an exciting opportunity for an AI & Automation team Intern to join our AI & Automation team. You will help design, build, and deploy AI agents using Microsoft AI Foundry and Data Fabric, automating MSP workflows across cloud environments and ITSM platforms. In addition, you may develop custom agents for our alternative investment clients to be published on the ECI AI marketplace.

      This is a hybrid role to work in our New York office a minimum of 3 days in office and 2 remote.

      What you will do:

      • Agent Development:
        • Prototype and implement AI agents in Microsoft AI Foundry and Data Fabric.
        • Integrate agents with cloud services (Azure) and ITSM tools (ServiceNow, etc.).
      • Automation Workflows:
        • Translate business requirements into automated workflows.
        • Test, validate, and document end-to-end agent behavior.
      • Client-Focused Solutions:
        • Collaborate with senior engineers to scope and build custom agents for alternative investment clients.
        • Prepare deployment packages for the ECI AI marketplace.
      • Collaboration & Communication:
        • Participate in daily stand-ups and design reviews.
        • Produce clear technical documentation and user guides.

      Who you are:

      Technical Skills:

      • Proficient in Python (scripting, APIs, libraries).
      • Solid grasp of machine learning fundamentals.
      • Strong mathematics background: linear algebra, algorithms, data structures.
      • Experience working with ITSM platforms (ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, etc.).

      Core Competencies:

      • Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking.
      • Strong oral and written communication skills.
      • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.

      Logistics:

      • Must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
      • Available to work at least three days per week in our NYC office.
      • Summer availability for a minimum of 10 weeks.
