      Intern, Data Science

      As a Data Science Intern, you have the incredible opportunity to dive deep into the world of analytics, partnering with diverse business units to drive innovation and insight across the organization. To be eligible, you must be an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited program during the internship term with an expected graduation date between December 2025 through June 2027.


      Timeline:
      Application Window: November to February 2025
      Interviews: February 2025 to April 2025
      Summer Program: June 2025 to August 2025
      Location: National Headquarters in Fountain Valley, CA. - Seeking local candidates only.
      Must be eligible to work up to 40 hours per week

      Major Responsibilities & Project Details:

      • Work on analytics projects related to customer and vehicle data
      • Pre-process, clean, and analyze large data sets.
      • Conduct exploratory data analysis.
      • Create new input features and build end to end data pipeline for machine learning models.
      • Develop machine learning models using advanced statistical techniques
      • Leverage machine learning and natural language processing techniques to mine unstructured data and uncover insights, topic detection, keyword extraction, and sentiment analysis.
      • Present data and analysis in a clear and concise manner.
      • Respond to emails, calls, in-person inquiries and requests.
      • Participate in meetings, capture notes and publish action items, and follow-up on next steps
      • Interface with IT
      • Escalate issues as needed.
      • Other assignments and administrative tasks as needed.

      Additional Notes:

      • Available for a full-time paid internship in June to August 2025
      • Local to NHQ (no relocation or housing will be offered)
      • Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis during the internship
      • Hybrid schedule (onsite 3-4x per week, depending on business/project need)
      • Visa sponsorship is not available
      • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Monday-Friday)
      • Compensation: $25.00/Hour

      Education:

      • Must be a high school graduate
      • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master's Degree program in a related functional field
