      About the Position

      As a Data Scientist Intern at our company, you will be immersed in a dynamic, innovative environment where you can apply your academic knowledge to real-world challenges. This position offers the opportunity to explore the field of data science under the mentorship of experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience with data analysis, modeling techniques, and data visualization tools. Ideal candidates are pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field and are passionate about solving complex problems through data-driven insights.

      Responsibilities

      • Assist in the analysis of datasets to uncover insights and support business decisions.
      • Contribute to the development and testing of predictive models under the guidance of senior data scientists.
      • Support the team in preparing datasets for analysis, including data cleaning and preprocessing.
      • Apply learned theoretical knowledge to practical problems, with support from mentors.
      • Participate in exploratory data analysis and visualization to understand data trends and patterns.
      • Engage in feature engineering to improve model performance, under supervision.
      • Take initiative in learning new data science techniques and tools.
      • Collaborate on projects with a team, contributing to discussions and idea generation.
      • Work closely with fellow interns and team members on project tasks.
      • Receive and act on feedback from mentors to grow technical and professional skills.
      • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, inclusive internship experience.
      • Engage in learning opportunities and company events designed for professional development.

      Domain Expertise:

      • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or master's program related to Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
      • Basic understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and their application.
      • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis.
      • Exposure to SQL for data querying.
      • Some coursework or projects involving data analysis or machine learning.

      Agile/Digital Experience:

      • Willingness to learn and engage with Agile software processes, data-driven development, reliability, and experimentation.

      Individual Skills:

      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
      • Eagerness to learn and apply new data science methods and technologies.
      • Effective communication skills for presenting findings and collaborating with the team.
      • Curiosity and a proactive approach to tasks and learning opportunities

      Physical Requirements/Work Environment

      • Sitting, working at desk/personal computer for extended periods of time
