      May 2025 – August 2026

      As an Intern – User Experience Designer, you will be working on projects of various sizes and mainly transformational in scope. If you are inspired by solving problems, passionate about crafting effortless experiences and have good technical skill, then this is the job for you!

      Who you’ll work with

      The Experience Design and Innovation team is a dynamic team that implements thoughtful creative solutions supporting the progressive needs of Ontario Teachers' investment and benefit professionals and the needs of its members. In this team, you will be working in a highly collaborative environment with a cross functional team – designers, data specialists, developers, testers and business experts.

      What you’ll do

      • Ideate, design & develop UX solutions for internal and external clients
      • Exposure to secure & non-secure web, social & mobile properties
      • Utilise the latest development tools: Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA
      • Explore the latest web technology including Angular, React, jQuery, HTML 5 and CSS 3
      • Learn the real-world usage of version control (Subversion, Git), automated build (Maven), and continuous integration (Atlassian Bamboo) systems
      • Track your work using our issue tracker (JIRA) and detail your code on our company wiki (Confluence)

      What you’ll need

      • Pursuing a degree in Design or Information Technology
      • Strong design and coding skills
      • Professional design & development experience from previous work terms/personal interests (preferred)
      • Enrolled in User Experience courses
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
      • Experience with User Experience methodology
      • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud or equivalent
      • Experience web technologies: Angular, React, JavaScript
