Perform thematic research or a sub-sector review
Perform analysis on selected stocks
Build tools to support the team research efforts (screens, quant tools)
Building financial and valuation models on companies and sectors of interest
Developing investment theses and presenting recommendations tailored to each equity strategy
Assigned to projects in rotation through sector teams
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Commerce – Finance option; or
Currently enrolled in a master’s or MBA program, concentration in Finance or other related fields
High academic achievement
Superior level of proficiency with business software and analytical tools, including strong Excel skills and at least moderate knowledge of Bloomberg
Demonstrate initiative and curiosity to look beyond surface facts to provide comprehensive, value added research
Ability to work autonomously on specific assignments while being cognizant of the need to involve senior team members
Strong interpersonal and communication (spoken and written) skills to present findings and recommendations
Enthusiasm and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Fluency in English, French is considered an asset
Must return to studies after the internship or the internship must be part of your curriculum
Candidates must have the right to work in Canada* for the period specified to be considered for this position. No support to obtain the right to work will be provided.

ABOUT THE TEAM
Fundamental Equity Strategies (FES), a part of PSP’s Capital Markets group , is responsible for internal active management of global, emerging market, and long/short public equities portfolios, and is comprised of portfolio managers and a global equity research team.
