- Active Secret Clearance.
- Tactical or Strategic Missile guidance and control experience/coursework.
- Modeling and Simulation experience/coursework.
- Experience using MATLAB/Simulink, C, or C++.
L3Harris Aerojet Rocketdyne in Orlando, FL is seeking an Aerospace or Electrical Engineering student for a part-time internship role to support the Guidance, Navigation, and Controls Systems team. This internship role does not have to be tied to a specific semester and it is desired that it extend beyond a single semester.
At this location, we produce high complexity (low volume) Single, Two and Three stage target missiles. In this role, the intern may work tasks related to Modeling and Simulation, flight controls, trajectory development and autopilot analysis.
Essential Functions:
35% - Modeling and Simulation updates.
35% - Trajectory tuning and development.
10% - Autopilot design and analysis.
20% - Data review support of System Level testing.
Requirements:
Candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited engineering program.
May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level. Requires U.S. Citizenship. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
