In this internship position, you will have the opportunity to work within our team to fill resilience and high availability gaps within applications, architecture, configuration, and code base. If you enjoy connecting the dots, using data-driven engineering decisions, innovating through the server side of our entire platform stack, you’ll enjoy this opportunity.
You will gain practical experience with tools and practices essential to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
You will develop cloud-based software systems as part of a multi-disciplinary team in an Agile methodology environment.
You will assist in software development to help applications provide a higher level of availability, engineer automation for asset classification / management, and develop an ability to test resilience for applications.
You will assist in development of our chaos testing “game day adversary” software to introduce disruptions and track the time to resolution for development teams as they go through their game day exercises.
You will contribute to forensic introspection tools that automatically correlate messages across systems logs, email, and slack channels during service degradations.
You have experience with Distributed Development in one of the following languages: Java, Go, Python, Kotlin, or Javascript.
You possess excellent oral communication skills for interfacing with peers in internal/external departments.
You have strong written skills and the ability to follow Dexcom software procedures and generate required documentation.

Non-Exempt Salary Details:
The hourly salary range for this role is $26.00 to $30.00. Annualized values for non-exempt (hourly) positions are estimates, final annualized salary will depend on total hours worked. Final compensation package will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, business needs and market demand.Remote Workplace: Your location will be a home office; you are not required to live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km). If you reside within commuting distance of a Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km) a hybrid working environment may be available. Ask about our Flex workplace option.
