With supervision, will perform general administrative duties and/or research functions for the purpose of developing a working knowledge of a specific area of study.Job Description:
Description of Duties and TasksSkillsTechnology SkillsApplicants should either be enrolled at a recognized Texas college or university, or a recent graduate. Successful candidates will have a strong foundational understanding of GIS concepts and familiarity with ArcGIS Pro and the ESRI suite.
Completion of an introductory GIS course is required. Current enrollment or completion of a geospatial analysis course preferred.Experience with ArcGIS software and related products, knowledge of aerial imagery, Lidar, land parcels, address points, and familiarity with the geography of Texas is a plus. This position requires great attention to detail, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work well in a team setting as well as independently.
- Work is routinely performed in an office environment.
- Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing and pulling.
- Occasional lifting of objects up to 10 pounds.
- Work safely and follow safety rules. Report unsafe working conditions and behavior. Take reasonable and prudent actions to prevent others from engaging in unsafe practices.
Pay Rate
$23.00/hour
