      Intern in Biochemistry & Biocatalysis (m/f/d)

      The Unit Biotechnology is part of Engineering & Technology function of the Bayer AG. We work across the Bayer organization on the development, establishment and optimization of biocatalytic processes for the biotechnological production of active ingredients, both for future pharmaceutical and agrochemical products. Within our ongoing projects, we offer committed students (m/f/d) the opportunity to gain practical experience and to implement the specialist knowledge they have acquired during their studies in an innovative, future-oriented area.

      Your tasks and fields of study

      • You work in exciting and future-oriented tasks in the field of biochemistry and biocatalysis within the current company’s portfolio
      • You support the projects using molecular biology, microbiology, protein biochemistry, bioanalytics and biocatalytic techniques
      • You contribute to the establishment, optimization and implementation of industrially relevant enzymatic processes by working on the screening of different enzyme families or in the reaction scale-up
      • You work in an automated and digitalized laboratory environment
      • You evaluate experimental data from different analysis methods
      • You gain insights into the processes of industrial biotechnology

      What you bring with you

        • You have completed your bachelor's degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, biotechnology or related fields
        • You bring laboratory experience in the field of biochemistry or organic chemistry. Biocatalysis, microbiology, or molecular biology are a plus
        • You have very good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
        • You have a high willingness to learn
        • You enjoy working in a multidisciplinary and intercultural team
        • A good written and spoken English knowledge complete your profile
