- Work under supervision of machine learning (ML) scientists within a Berlin based project team on projects to utilize ML with particular focus on verifiability of large language models, such as Llama 2 or GPT4
- Support developing and applying cutting-edge ML models for text and knowledge graph-based data, applying various NLP and graph ML methods
- Integrate developed algorithms into productive workflows
- Develop simple user interface to demonstrate the methodologies
- Help to drive and implement change for improving everyday work
- Enrolled advanced Bachelor or Master student (f/m/d) in computer science, bioinformatics, data science or comparable
- First experience in developing and applying machine learning, specifically using NLP methodologies; experience with graph learning methodologies would be an advantage
- Expertise and extensive hands-on experience in Python
- Experience in developing some web user interfaces is a plus (e.g. React)
- Ability to structure and solve complex challenges independently and on flexible time scales as well as challanging the status quo
- High degree of commitment as well as being open-minded and the ability to take action for continuous improvement
- High ability to work in a team combined with the ability to deal professionally with internal customers of various organizational levels and external stakeholders
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken

We are looking for a machine learning intern with interest of large language models, to work on an initiative to fight hallucinations in large language models. The aim of the project would be to, in collaboration with the rest of the international team, develop an open-source generative search engine with verifiability feature.
