      The Stratasys Summer Internship Program is designed to give interns a holistic view of what Stratasys has to offer from a multitude of departments. Our 12-week paid program begins in May and goes through mid-August. During the program, interns are embedded in real-time projects, which they contribute to or even lead depending on their experience level. Our campus team helps to educate, train, and grow our interns through monthly activities such as 3D printing training, lunch & learn seminars, and coffee talks with department leaders. We also host off-site team-building activities to promote networking among the group through volunteer events.

      The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will support our 3D printers FDM and PolyJet technology in manufacturing. You will develop processes and procedures, such as quality procedures, and conduct continuous improvement (kaizen, time studies, value stream mapping) projects in a manufacturing setting. The intern will also design manufacturing aids that can be used in the manufacturing setting.

      What you will be doing:

      • Working in one of the largest additive manufacturing facilities
      • Work on continuous improvement initiatives and LEAN principles
      • Gather feedback from production and create tools or processes to improve operations
      • Read, understand, and create work instructions and standard work
      • Work collaboratively and independently
      • Embrace a dynamic work environment

      Must have for this role:

      • Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
      • Basic understanding of manufacturing and product manufacturing processes
      • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
      • Local to Minnesota or able to relocate without assistance to the Eden Prairie, MN area

      Nice to have:

      • 3D printing experience
      • Prior internship experience
      • Strong problem-solving skills
      • Preferred Major(s): Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Technology Engineering, Operations Management
