Marketing & PR Departmental Overview

The Marketing & PR department is responsible for all Marketing Communications for the Jaguar, Range Rover, Defender and Discovery brands in Canada. As stewards of these presitgeous British brands, the team develops communications strategies and marketing plans to build awareness, consideration and purchase intent for our brands and products amongst Canadian clients.

This internship will provide the ideal candidate with the opportunity to develop their Digital Marketing skills by supporting day-to-day website operations on Jaguar.ca and LandRover.ca, including UX design, content updates and website analytics. This position will also support our Retailers in developing local demand generation Marketing campaigns that build purchase consideration within the individual markets in which we operate in Canada.

The candidate will work directly with the Director, Brand Managers, Digital Transformation & Analytics Manager, and the Retail & Brand Experience Manager.

JLR Canada ULC (JLRC) is a Sales and Marketing organization located in Mississauga, Ontario, presently offering a 12 month internship starting June 2024 in the Marketing & PR department. (Note, the internship may be extended pending business needs at the time.)

This position provides an opportunity to challenge your analytical skills, and to develop business acumen, leadership, and management skills. JLRC operates in a dynamic and challenging industry within a larger business organization working closely with Jaguar Land Rover North America, located in Mahwah, New Jersey, as well as JLR in the United Kingdom.

What you will be doing:

• Validating of content/pricing on Jaguar.ca and LandRover.ca websites, including vehicle configurators
• Updating and validate monthly offers on the national websites
• Assisting retailers in developing demand generation paid media campaigns that are tailored to their individual business goals
• Ensuring all retailer websites and marketing campaigns adhere to global brand CI guidelines
• Uploading department invoices to Sharepoint and ensuring all payments are processed accurately and on time
• Assisting Marketing & PR Director with adapting press releases and coordinating press fleet
• Corporate Voicemail – retrieve and distribute messages weekly
• Perform other duties as required

What you will need:

• Enrolled in a college/university program
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills
• Strong financial/numerical acumen
• Familiarity with SAP is an asset
• High level of professionalism and tact; able to maintain strict confidentiality
• Confidence to deal with individuals at all levels of the organization
• Extremely organized and detail-oriented, with well-developed communication skills
• Fluency in French is a plus
