      Job Description:

      We have an opening for a Fall Semester Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our Coleman Aerospace team in Orlando, FL. This intern will be year-round part-time intern throughout the school year.

      Coleman Aerospace produces complex single, two, and three stage air launched target vehicles used to support ballistic missile defense testing and is the Aerojet Rocketdyne segment Center of Excellence for Undersea Propulsion manufacturing.

      We are looking for a self-motivated individual striving to develop their mechanical engineering skills by translating their academic studies into real world solutions. Our small team and fast paced atmosphere demands that we devise simple solutions to complex engineering problems.

      Qualifications:

      • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field.

      Desired skills:

      • Experience with a CAD package, such as PTC’s Creo 8.0 or later.
      • Proficiency with the Microsoft suite of office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
      • Completion of Statics and Dynamics Analysis courses.
      • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
      • Flexible and agile in handling a diverse range of design tasks.
      • Clear and effective communication abilities.
      • Ability to manage time effectively while receiving technical direction from team members
