• Investigate, document, classify, and respond to information security incidents and suspicious events.
  
• Troubleshoot security related issues.
  
• Administration of security tools and software.
  
• Monitor threat intelligence feeds, communicate findings with the IT Department, and act on any threat intelligence that is applicable to the company’s environment.
  
• Monitor the company network to identify suspicious activity and potential security breaches from both internal and external sources.
  
• Support & track compliance of Phishing campaigns and Security Awareness trainings.
  
• Assist with remediation activities for both internal & external vulnerabilities found in vulnerability assessments.

• Support the development and enforcement of information security policies, standards, and practices to ensure systems are securely operated and supports compliance with regulatory requirements.
  
• Audit 3rd Party hardware, software, & services against the company’s information security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with new and existing vendors.
  
• Work closely with the help desk to facilitate training for technical and administrative competencies for responding to security related events.
  
• Continue developing skills by continuing to pursue education/certification classes.
  
• Collaborate within the IT department to meet overall Security initiatives.
  

Qualifications:

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (preferred)
• Willingness to pursue Information Security Certifications
• CompTIA Security+ or relevant security certificate (preferred)
• CompTIA Network+ or relevant networking certificate (preferred)
