Intern – Operations – San Francisco

Position Overview
The 2024 Summer Intern will assist the global Trading Operations teams at the company’s headquarters in San Francisco. The Operations Intern is responsible for assisting in the support of automation projects and data management for the team. This is an exciting opportunity to develop both technical skills and business knowledge at an established alternative investment firm. The intern will support the operational, corporate governance, settlements, and trade support functions of the firm globally.
Responsibilities
General Support
o Collaborate with key stakeholders on the Operations team to build automated solutions.
o Develop and enhance workbook templates that aid in workflow standardization – improving the overall user experience.
o Author support documentation for team as needed, including user manuals, training materials, and specifications for templates created.
o Perform any other ad-hoc support duties assigned by team managers.
Aid in SOC1 Project Data Reporting, Analysis & Compliance
o Develop and maintain databases for yearly audit requests by acquiring data from multiple sources and build scripts that will make retrieving audit requests more seamless/flexible or scalable across the team.
Qualifications
Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or related areas.
Proficient with MS Office & 365 Power Tools – PowerBi, Power Automate, Query – must be advanced in Excel.
Previous experience handling large data sets; solid knowledge of SQL and Python knowledge is a plus.
Ability to manage tasks and prioritize while performing under shifting deadlines.
Creative and solutions oriented.
Ability to drive a project from start to finish while effectively communicating with key stakeholders.
Ability to work independently while implementing good judgment.
Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience and expertise. The monthly salary for this San Francisco-based position is $4,000.00.
