      Overview

      Every year, East West Bank looks to hire junior/senior level undergraduate and graduate students for our summer internship program, starting in May and running through mid-August. All internships are full-time, paid opportunities. In a typical year, applications are accepted January through early March.

      East West Bank’s internship program gives students the opportunity to gain valuable and practical hands-on experience in their majors, explore the banking/finance industry, and learn about our culture and business philosophy. From special projects to collaborating with team members, students will leave feeling energized, knowledgeable, and excited about the banking industry.

      We currently have Summer Internship positions available for current College/University students, with the Consumer and Business Banking teams located in Pasadena and City of Industry, CA. The internship is a paid, full-time position that will take place for 10-12 weeks starting in/after May.

      Responsibilities

      • Support different initiatives including campaigns and projects to drive business opportunities
      • Conduct in-depth market research on industry trends / challenges and present in a professional setting
      • Work with marketing partners to convey product messaging and improve customer acquisition
      • Develop and drive customer acquisition programs
      • Support development of frontline soft skills and sales coaching materials and participate in various coaching sessions
      • Work with operations partners to identify process improvement opportunities
      • Perform other duties as required and assigned

      Qualifications

      • Currently enrolled in a College/University with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or a recent graduate from college
      • Preferably Bilingual English and Chinese
      • Good communication and presentation skills with positive mindset, be ready to challenges, result-oriented
      • Ability to work well independently as well as in a team
      • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking, leadership, analytical skills and to proactively provide solutions

      Compensation

      The base pay range for this position is USD $18.00/Hr. - USD $20.00/Hr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
