What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist in project ideation and participate in the development process from concept to delivery
- Gather and analyze information from existing systems to inform program requirements
- Prepare detailed specifications for program development and coding
- Develop moderately complex programs that meet established standards
- Create documentation for work assignments, including program code and technical specifications
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems/Science, or a related field
- Must be enrolled in school during the internship period
- Typically, candidates should be between their Junior and Senior years or between their 1st and 2nd years of graduate school
- Coursework or skill in object-oriented programming and Java development
- Experience in web application development or hands-on website development
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with requirements gathering, design, implementation, integration, and testing for database-driven sites
- Familiarity with Microservice Architecture and related technologies
- Knowledge of front-end web development languages such as HTML5, CSS3, Angular, and JavaScript/jQuery
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services
- Understanding of version control systems like Git
