Join Our Team and Unleash Your Potential!

We’re on the lookout for bright minds to join our summer internship program and embark on a journey of growth, learning, and hands-on experience! An internship with Hunter Industries and Our Family of Companies complements university coursework, provides first-hand experience of working in the real world, and the opportunity to develop relevant skills and knowledge for career readiness.

      The Experience:

      • Project Scopes: Each intern is assigned a specific project that contributes value to the Company.
      • Networking Opportunities: Interns gather often to connect, network, and bond as a cohort.
      • Development Workshops: We provide professional development opportunities that prepare you to transition into the workforce.
      • CSR Opportunity: We team up with our Corporate Social Responsibility team to participate in a Community Impact event.
      • Field Trip: Interns participate in a group field trip to check out product installations.
      • Leadership Lunch: Interns gather for lunch with senior leaders for casual conversation, networking, and some Q&A.
      • Project Presentations: Interns will present an overview of their experience to a large group of leaders and peers at the end of the program.

      What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Software Engineering Intern, you and your Software Development intern team will work in a mob and choose one of the following projects:

      1. Creating Usage Analytics based on a copy of the production database for products. This would give Project Owners and Engineers the ability to see what programs controllers are using. It would provide graphs and/or data about what program customers use and how often.
      2. Completing the Centralus Reporting page. This would have detailed schedule display of when stations turn on and off. It would help customers visualize their runtimes, soak cycles, and wait times.

You will work with the Software Development product teams to focus on and enhance our internal and external facing software products. You and your intern mob team will be both teamed with existing teams and work as an independent team to develop an intern-related deliverable. You all will integrate with the programming mobs and contribute to the software development process while gaining fuller insight into the software development lifecycle, best practices, the industry, and supporting the community.

      What You’ll Learn:

You will learn refactoring, test-driven development (TDD), continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), mob programming, databases, software design from concept through release, working with product owner, cloud-based computing, working in a team, retrospectives, no estimates, agile, Kanban, and public speaking. Working as both a separate unit and through integration with existing development teams, you will learn mob programming, design, coding, and other related skills. You will grow in collaboration using retrospectives and other team-building experiences in addition to participating in public speaking.

      What We Offer:

An amazing company culture – we walk the walk when it comes to our values!

      • Hourly Pay: This internship is paid $25 per hour.
