      Dolby's office in Barcelona has strong audio Research and Development teams, specialized in spatial audio, AI and signal processing for professional and consumer applications. The Sound Experiences Lab in Dolby Barcelona is looking for an intern to develop AI-based innovative solutions for bandwidth extension of general audio (music/sound/speech).

      Responsibilities

      • Review the state-of-the-art literature
      • Assist with collection and processing of data sets
      • Reproducing and extending existing research by building/adapting and training suitable neural networks
      • Perform subjective/objective evaluations and compare with the state-of-the-art.
      • Communicate research progress and document code and results.
      • Write technical reports and/or research papers.

      Requirements

      • Knowledge of machine learning and deep learning.
      • Knowledge of signal processing, linear algebra, calculus and statistics.
      • Familiarity with one or more neural network frameworks, such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
      • Enrolled in a Ph.D. program (in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Mathematics) on related subjects for the entire duration of the internship (March 2023 to June 2024)
      • Available to work at the Barcelona office.

      Nice to have

      • Critical listening skills.
      • Experience in research.

      Eligibility

      • Working towards an MSc or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related field. We will prioritize candidates based on experience level.

      We will review applications on a rolling basis.
