Mission for Position
Summer Interns understand firsthand how Lakewood health careers provide personalized, quality care for patients through a variety of departments and roles in the system.
Duties & Responsibilities OR Position Summary
The intern’s primary responsibility will be learning about various health care careers at LHS through observation and hands-on experiences. Opportunities for interns to assist patients, providers and staff throughout LHS will be provided when appropriate and available. Additional tasks not requiring license or experience may be delegated to interns as is appropriate and beneficial to their learning experience.
Position Type
Up to 10 hours per week for 6 weeks between Memorial Day and Labor Day in summer 2024 every effort will be made to provide the intern with a schedule that is mutually beneficial.
Pay starts at $15/hour, with increased wages possible for interns who have certain certifications or licensures that are relevant to the healthcare careers they are exploring (active CNA certification, for example).
