Your Adventure at Moderna:

In the First Few Weeks:

• Settle into a collaborative environment with our team of experts, absorbing the nuances of innovative technologies in mRNA science.

• Initiate your mastery in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), integral for working within our regulated framework.

By the End of the Second Month:

• Dive into the production process of batches crucial for Health Canada's approval. Participate in a challenging 12-week cycle of 24/7 shifts, getting hands-on with solution preparation, sampling, and cleaning of our advanced equipment and facilities.

Midway Through Your Internship:

• Take an active role in upholding our high-quality standards. Engage in probing investigations of quality discrepancies and participate in health and safety events.

• Contribute to our CAPA initiatives, helping to implement solutions that enhance our operational excellence and safety protocols.

As You Approach the Final Months:

• Aid in refining our site-wide processes, from production to quality control, utilizing methodologies like 5S, Visual Management, and Lean Manufacturing.

• Assess health and safety risks across different workstations, contributing to a culture of safety and efficiency.

In Your Final Stretch:

• Offer support in scaling up processes and facilitating technology transfers, essential for the modernization of our manufacturing support at Moderna’s facilities.

• Engage in the planning and execution of experiments, defining critical process parameters, and shaping comprehensive control strategies.

• Investigate literature, share insights, and collaborate with internal teams, injecting fresh perspectives into our research and production.

Here’s What You’ll Need (Minimum Qualifications)

• Current student working towards Bachelors or Masters in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Biomolecular Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biostatistics, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science, Bioengineering or a related field

• Strong fundamental scientific and engineering skills for the evaluation of experimental data

• Laboratory skills applicable to bioprocess development and analytical methods

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)

• Demonstrated ability to work both independently as well as the ability to contribute to high performing teams

• Available to work on 12 hours Shifts (4-4 Shift Model, then 1 weekend out of 2, from June to August)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, thoroughness and excellent organizational skills

Votre aventure chez Moderna :

• Plongez dans le processus de production de lots cruciaux pour l'approbation de Santé Canada. Participez à un cycle exigeant de 12 semaines de quarts de travail 24/7, en vous impliquant activement dans la préparation de solutions, l'échantillonnage et le nettoyage de nos équipements avancés.

À mi-chemin de votre stage :

• Jouez un rôle actif dans le maintien de nos normes élevées de qualité. Engagez-vous dans des enquêtes approfondies sur les écarts de qualité et participez à des événements de santé et de sécurité.

• Contributez à nos initiatives CAPA, aidant à mettre en œuvre des solutions qui améliorent notre excellence opérationnelle et nos protocoles de sécurité.

Au fur et à mesure que vous approchez des derniers mois :

• Être étudiant actuellement en cours d'obtention d'un Baccalauréat ou d'une Maîtrise en Génie Chimique, Génie Biochimique, Génie Biomoléculaire, Chimie, Biochimie, Biophysique, Biotechnologie, Biologie Moléculaire, Biostatistique, Génie Biomédical, Science Pharmaceutique, Bioingénierie ou dans un domaine connexe.

• Solides compétences fondamentales scientifiques et d'ingénierie pour l'évaluation des données expérimentales.

• Compétences de laboratoire applicables au développement de bioprocédés et aux méthodes analytiques.
