Planning and delivering internal communications for project-based and BAU activities. This will involve doing work of a strategic nature and also sleeves-rolled up tactical delivery.
Producing content for internal channels that is inspirational, informative and engaging.
Planning and delivering communications for strategic change programmes involving technology, process and people changes.
Supporting our functions in building their internal brand and managing their internal customer relationships.
This will range from writing emails and creating videos, to generating graphics and selecting imagery.
Acting as an employee advocate and championing employee engagement methodologies.
Contributing to and working with the wider communications team and stakeholders to develop, manage and implement content as required.
Proof-reading as required.
Training and sharing knowledge with internal teams to empower them to deliver high quality and impactful communications within their areas. Supporting when required.
Act, and be recognised as a trusted internal communications adviser to management and project teams.
Ensure appropriate communications metrics are employed to review and monitor the effectiveness of communications with the objective of continuous improvement.
Strong copywriting skills and very good attention to detail.
Skilled in developing and delivering change communications plans.
Able to convey information clearly and succinctly to a diverse range of audiences across our global network – which may or may not have English as their first language.
Strong reasoning capabilities – creative and lateral thinking, combined with good problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated and with an enquiring mind – not afraid to ask questions.
Creativity and the ability to identify, build, manage and deliver on and offline content using a wide range of techniques for a variety of internal channels.
Capable of translating jargon into easily accessible communications.
Listening and influencing skills.
The ability to build relationships and empathise with people at all levels of the organisation.
Highly organised with excellent project management skills and capable of managing and prioritising multiple projects.
Experience of working within a significant change programme.
Experience of working in an IT environment or within the technology industry is preferred.
We would like you to have at least five years’ experience within internal or change communications, or product marketing roles.
We would like you to have experience in technology or product communications.

Role overview
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual, with excellent organisational and communication skills and strong attention to detail. The successful candidate will have the ability to work quickly, efficiently and methodically and have proven experience of working within a fast-paced communications team.
This internal communications role is within Howden Group Services, the business that is home to our Comms, IT, HR, Finance, Operations and Legal functions. The successful individual will partner with colleagues from across all of these functions, and the primary relationship will be with IT.
There will never be two days the same in this role, as our business is busy with lots of new initiatives that need to be communicated to colleagues across the Howden Group .
