      Location:

      This role is scheduled to be 100% remote. While remote, finalists MUST reside in one of the following states to be eligible for employment with Kaiser Permanente: CA, OR, WA, HI, CO, GA, MD, VA, CT, DC, or IL.

      Department Description:

      Internal Audit Services’ purpose is to enhance risk management while helping to protect and create value for Kaiser Permanente. Our vision is to serve as a trusted advisor offering proactive and timely advice, strengthening internal controls, supporting strategic objectives, and ensuring organizational resiliency. Our mission is to provide independent, objective assurance and consulting services designed to add value and improve Kaiser Foundation Health Plan and Hospitals’ operations.

      Intern Project(s):

      The intern will be responsible for conducting planning and testing tasks on internal audit projects. This includes preparing audit documents, forms, and flowcharts, completing audit testing based on audit testing methodology which may include data analytics (with Excel). The projects will primarily be focused on the health plan and finance functional areas.

      We are looking for an intern who has a positive can-do attitude, self-motivated, and willing to learn. We would like the intern to be able to: communicate professionally, effectively collaborate with team members, manage their time efficiently and providing updates on status, think critically to problem solve in situations where not much instruction can be provided, receptiveness to feedback and coaching, foundationally proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

      Essential Responsibilities:
      • Contributing to a designated project or initiative to meet a KP business objective.
      • Report development and analytics.
      • Project management - planning, execution, and measurement.
      • Learning new applications needed to complete assignments or support the execution of business objectives.
      • Job shadowing in other functional areas.
      • Performing additional duties as required.

      • Pursuing a bachelors degree or have graduated from an accredited university within the last year.
      • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
      License, Certification, Registration

      Additional Requirements:
      • Aptitude to perform data and process analytics and formulating solutions
      • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
      Preferred Qualifications:
      • 3.0 GPA or above.
      • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
      • Proven ability to build effective working relationships as well as strong interpersonal skills.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Ability to learn quickly and experience producing high quality work in short periods of time.
