      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Plan and conduct financial, compliance, performance, and operational audits in line with established standards
      - Develop risk-based internal audit and consulting programs as the lead auditor
      - Perform data analytics to identify and monitor risks pertinent to assigned audits
      - Analyze risks associated with audit clients and evaluate the effectiveness of risk mitigation strategies
      - Prepare and present audit reports and recommendations to management

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Active certification from a recognized professional organization (e.g., CIA, CPA, CFE)
      - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field
      - Minimum of three years of verified work experience in the internal audit profession or equivalent
      - Knowledge of auditing standards and practices, including those from the AIG and IIA
      - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience conducting internal audits of local government agencies
      - Familiarity with TeamMate Audit Software and analytics tools
      - Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey audit findings
      - Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
      - Experience in managing sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity
