- Conducts audits and compliance activities related to Operations, inventory accuracy and other processes.
- Performs reviews of organization controls and operating procedures and assesses the compliance of departments and individual employees.
- Enforces an organization's auditing and compliance programs that keeps the company from engaging in potentially illegal or unethical activities.
- Assists in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and regulations; and updates policy manuals and other documentation to keep up with changes and external requirements.
- Reviews inventories taken by other workers and compares them with office records, or computes figures from sales, equipment, shipping, production, purchase, or stock records to obtain current theoretical inventory.
- Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count.
- Investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.
- Recommends measures to improve methods, performance, and quality of service, and suggests changes in working conditions to increase efficiency.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists employees in solving work problems.
- Complies with company policy and enforces safety regulations.
- Assesses the adequacy of programs designed to protect the organization's assets.
- Compiles reports detailing results of audits and assessments, and provides recommendations for improvements.
- Communicates the need for critical changes immediately with the Internal Controls Director.
- Recommends employee training and modifications to procedures as needed.
- Serves as liaison between the company and external audit and regulatory agencies.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting preferred
- Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to perform lookups, SUMIFS, other formulas and pivot tables
- Experience with fast-paced environments preferred
- Demonstrated attention to detail with proven problem solving abilities and analytical skills
- 1-3 years of experience in internal audit or inventory control
- 1-3 years of Distribution Center experience with consumer-packaged goods (CPG), E-commerce or physical inventories
- Experience communicating with all levels of management
- Experience working with Power BI a plus
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
- Ability to be mobile and travel throughout the facilities.

The Internal Controls Analyst will work with the Internal Controls Director and is responsible for assisting with the implementation of policies and procedures to improve internal controls and performing activities related to AMS Fulfillment’s audits on an ongoing basis. This individual will partner with the Internal Controls Director, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain stakeholders to ensure compliance with controls and that audits are conducted in a timely fashion while identifying ongoing improvements in the audit process and controls environment.
This position is fully onsite and is eligible to work from Valencia, CA.
