- Travel degree preferred, but not required.
- Minimum of five years retail agency experience, Apollo computer system experience preferred.
- Travel industry knowledge and familiarization of travel destinations.
- Ability to interact professionally and positively with a varying group of internal and external customers.
- Must be comfortable working independently, be a self-starter.
- Must have a strong attention-to-detail.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills including ability to coach and mentor team members and provide training on specific topics.
- Ability to listen, understand and respond to external and internal customers’ needs in a timely manner; customer service experience in a service-related industry preferred.
- Ability to work the time necessary to complete projects and/or meet deadlines.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Internal Travel Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of ITA Group’s corporate travel. This position works directly with the requesting team member to book and finalize all travel reservations (airline, hotel, car, etc.). Requests may involve travel on company business, with group events, site inspections, VIP requests or personal travel requests. This position monitors and manages corporate approvals, travel spend.
The Internal Travel Manager is responsible to educate employees on travel request procedures, online booking procedures and enforces best practices in compliance with ITA Group’s Travel Policy.
