Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‐for‐year basis.
US Citizen or Permanent Resident (SEVP eligibility for becoming a Designated School Office DSO).
Experience in international student services and/or admissions.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Experience that demonstrates the ability to work with a diverse student population and knowledge of multicultural issues.
Experience with the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS).
Experience advising students.
Experience conducting recruitment activities.
Experience researching, interpreting and applying regulations and policies.
Experience working with multicultural and/or international student populations.
Experience using Slate or another CRM system.

The Opportunity:
As the International Admissions Coordinator in International Programs, you will be responsible for evaluating admission applications from international first-year, transfer, non-degree, and former undergraduate students, as well as applicants to the International Master’s Program (graduate bridge) and Academic English (ESL) programs. You will review international academic documents to make informed and appropriate admission decisions for all international applicants.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Assistant Director for International Admissions Processing and Evaluation to guide prospective international students through Washington State University’s application process. Your ability to communicate effectively across cultures will be essential as you support international applicants, current students, and other stakeholders.
Your key responsibilities will include analyzing and processing international applications, evaluating transfer credit and both international and domestic transcripts, and assessing appropriate academic levels for incoming students. You will also respond to inquiries and maintain a basic understanding of international student immigration regulations and relevant government databases.
Additional Information:
This position works on site on the WSU Pullman campus in Pullman, WA. While there is a preference for working on-site, this position may be eligible for a remote or hybrid working arrangement to be discussed if contacted for interview.
This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime-eligible.
Monthly Salary: $3,750.85 - $4,000 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
