  Now you can shape the path towards fossil free living. For our procurement department we're searching for 4 talented individuals to join us on our journey towards fossil free living. Individuals that challenge the way we think, lead us down new paths and want to contribute in the procurement process, a fundamental process for Vattenfall to reach our goals.

  Each one of the trainee positions is unique, linked to a procurement department and a specific working location. This means you will work as a trainee in a dedicated procurement team but also get the chance to develop yourself, together with the other trainees, as a procurement expert in our International Procurement Trainee Programme.

  Your role as an International Procurement Trainee – Procurement Excellence

  Next to your personal development in this unique opportunity, you will be enjoying one year of special training. Your trainee year will be filled with international meetups with your fellow trainees, stakeholders from different business units and other procurement teams. You will work on procurement assignments, switching between different procurement departments and you will be visiting our power plants and develop your personal development and procurement knowledge with a variety of trainings.

  The objective for this International Procurement Trainee Programme is to enhance our talent pool of procurement professionals. It is the target to employ young talented persons with an infinite development potential, drive and vast interest in a career in sourcing. The programme will offer you the focus and framework to develop towards a high performing procurement professional at Vattenfall. After the first year of traineeship you will become a regular employee.

  Procurement Excellence is at the core of Vattenfall’s transformation with responsibility for high performance of our existing operations but also in terms of getting the “outside-in\" innovation, technology and capabilities that we need to build Vattenfall’s future businesses. To deliver on these expectations SF Procurement has to change. It needs to become more agile, digital and sustainable and be able to engage in an optimal way with a wide range of suppliers, ranging from large industrial conglomerates, to start-ups, each requiring a specific approach.

  Focus

  • The focus of the role is to support our transformation and continuous improvement initiatives and help drive internal projects which contribute to our Procurement Strategic Direction at Vattenfall.

  Key responsibilities as a Trainee Procurement

  • Integrate fully into the local Procurement organization
  • Complete all necessary trainings
  • Participate in team development exercises
  • Present learnings and experiences to the Procurement Management Team

  Key responsibilities within Procurement Excellence

  • Support Project Managers in delivering internal improvement projects to support our over-arching strategic direction
  • Market research of digital tools and future trends to aid Procurement transformation strategies
  • Support Global Process Owners in creation, implementation and/or controls of our end-to-end procurement processes
  • Responsible for continuous improvement initiatives to support our global way of working
  • Interact with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and needs in order to propose suitable solutions
  • Support and work closely with colleagues in Procurement Excellence; Processes, Tools, Data & Analytics, Change & Communications etc.
  • Support with reporting and maintenance of existing tools and global processes

  Who are you?

  You are keen to explore the possibilities within the Procurement Trainee Programme that we offer you.

  You are our ideal Trainee Procurement – Procurement Excellence if you are a recent graduate with an academic degree and have maximum one year of work experience, or you graduate before September 2024.

  • Fluency in English verbally and in writing. Command of Swedish, German or Dutch is a bonus.
  • Willing to relocate for possible assignments throughout the organization
  • And of course, you identify yourself with our principles: active, open, positive and safe
  • Can work autonomously and with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Organized, proactive and results oriented

  The recruitment process
  We welcome your application in English, including resume and cover letter no later than March 3rd 2024. Selection period starts after the application period is closed with online tests followed by interviews in March/April. An final assessment is also part of the recruitment process and will take place in the end of April. The recruitment process will be finalized in May. The last step will be a pre-employment screening. Starting date of the International Procurement Trainee Programme will be September 2nd, 2024.
