      Embla Medical is looking for an International Tax Manager to join our Global Tax Team.

      Your Role:

      As the International Tax Manager, you will oversee direct tax matters for our global group entities in over 35 countries. You'll collaborate closely with internal teams at HQ and across regions, providing day-to-day tax support, especially in areas like corporate income tax, tax treaties, and withholding taxes. You will report to the Global Tax Director, who directly reports to the CFO

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Identify tax risks, develop strategies to minimize exposure, and ensure compliance with global tax laws.
      • Partner with the Global Tax Director, and other corporate and business functions, on restructuring, M&A projects, and post-acquisition integration.
      • Support in enhancing global tax position, with respect to direct taxes, transfer pricing and managing our group structure.
      • Handle tax audits, inquiries, and litigation worldwide.
      • Manage our global transfer pricing policy, ensuring alignment with the business developments, compliance with international tax laws/ OECD guidelines and ensuring TP as part of risk management.
      • Support the Global Tax Director in managing the tax strategy, the tax policies and tax models applied, to ensure alignment with Embla's business strategy and other functional strategies.
      • Monitor international tax law changes and advise on their impact.
      • Provide practical tax advice to the various internal corporate and business teams and support and advise your Global Tax team members on various projects.
      • Work closely with finance departments, financial shared service center, external advisors, and tax authorities.
      • Seek out meaningful tax incentives, particularly in R&D.
      • Play an active role in automating and digitizing global tax processes.

      Who You Are:

      • Hold a university degree in Taxation.
      • Have 8+ years of experience in international tax management or advisory, with at least 5 years in-house.
      • Have strong analytical skills and a desire to grow as a tax expert.
      • Thrive in a team environment with a hands-on approach.
      • Confident in a multicultural, multinational setting, and able to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
      • Capable of working independently, meeting deadlines, and adapting to changing priorities.
      • Have in-depth tax knowledge with an eye for detail and the ability to see the bigger picture.
      • Fluent in English, with strong communication skills.
