Job summary
Responsible for setting policy and coordinating all activities involved in export/import regulatory compliance such as" ECCN product classifications, harmonized tariff classifications, country of origin determination, product valuation reporting, export license applications, Automated Export System reporting, obtaining and reviewing end use statements for exports, and sanctioned party list screening.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Manage US Customs and Border Protection trade program participation (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism, Importer Self Assessment Program, etc). • Interfaces with internal / external customers, foreign subsidiaries, distributors, vendors, brokers and carriers to ensure compliance with all applicable import / export regulations. • Responsible for maintaining internal controls program to ensure compliance with federal and foreign regulations governing the shipment, receipt and documentation of imported/exported products. • Participates in continual improvement process related to Compliance Program and manages document revisions of internal controls and procedures. • Conducts periodic export and import self-assessments (compliance audits) and implements any necessary corrective actions. • Manage Mubea’s FTA’s including NAFTA, USMCA ,COO, etc. • Manage all International imports to include tracking, tracing and finial delivery. • Manage all international exports to include creating commercial invoice and all relevant documentation to forwarder and finial consignee. • Manage Mubea’s section 232 and 301 exclusion program. Submit post summary adjustments (PSA) and protests to US Customs when needed. Coordinate usage and refunds with Controlling.
Your profile
• Bachelors in Business, Logistics, or related field or related experience. Minimum of 5 years of Trade/Logistics experience required. Broker license a plus. • Strong working knowledge of international business practices, transportation laws, and customs requirements • Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably SAP, desired • Demonstrated ability to generate collaborative processes and integrate business solutions globally • Possess excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
