In order to support the Airbus Artificial Intelligence Research Unit, we are offering an

Internship at the intersection of Bayesian deep learning and computer vision for autonomous aircraft landing (d/f/m)

Airbus is looking for a 6-month AI Research intern (d/f/m)

• Location: Taufkirchen/Munich

• Placement: 35 hours/week

• Start: October 2023

• Duration: 6 months

The internship will be with the Artificial Intelligence Research Unit of Airbus Central Research & Technology, located in Taufkirchen (near Munich, DE). The team is working on exploring, adapting, and maturing deep-learning technologies to bridge the gap between the excellence of research and the reality of real-life applications for Airbus.

Your tasks and responsibilities

You will work on state-of-the-art research in the domain of autonomous aircraft landing — and your research will focus on the intersection of Bayesian deep learning and computer vision. This internship will include dedicated supervision and therefore requires a strong and motivated commitment from both sides.

Desired skills and qualifications

• Enrolled full time student (d/f/m) in computer science, data science, image processing, artificial intelligence or any similar field of study

• Experience in machine learning (e.g. thesis, projects, internships, etc.)

• Experience with Bayesian methods in machine learning (e.g. variational inference or Laplace approximation) is a big plus

• Experience in computer vision (e.g. object detection or image segmentation) is a plus

• Decent coding skills in Python

• Experience with machine-learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow

• Good working level in English

You are currently a full time student with such a profile: we are looking forward to your application.
