Job Description

- Develop key skills to accurately model jewelry objects and prepare them for casting.
- Learn how to design for manufacturing and maintain design intent throughout collection development.
- Participate in all stages of prototype creating through product release to supplier.
- Assist in building a digital reference libraries.
- Track project timelines to ensure proper execution of tasks in a timeline manner.
- Abide by office and workshop best practices including adhering to health and safety requirements at all times.
- Assist in the development of new jewelry pieces by participating in brainstorming sessions.
- Learn and apply various jewelry-making techniques, including cast cleaning, filing, and polishing.
- Aid in maintaining prototyping equipment such as 3D printers, laser engravers, and CNC milling machines.
- Participate in quality control and inspection processes, ensuring that prototypes meet Tiffany Quality expectations and design specifications.
- Support the team with administrative tasks such as organizing files, maintaining inventory, and preparing incoming shipments.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient project workflows and meet deadlines.
- Continuously learn and stay up to date on industry trends, materials, and technologies.
- Daily communication with CAD Designers, Model Makers and Management.
- Weekly meetings with CAD and Shop Management for evaluation and feedback.
- Complete tasks assigned in a timely manner.
- Presentation on experience and outcomes to Senior Management.
- Currently enrolled in a jewelry program with bench and CAD curriculum.
- Knowledge in Rhino
- Bench experience
Train with CAD & Rapid Prototyping Teams
You will work alongside experienced Computer Aided Designers while participating in the development of new jewelry projects and learn how to take a 3D model from a digital to physical state through various 3D printing processes.

Required Qualifications:
Dates: This position will begin on June 3rd and end on August 9th. Candidates are asked to be available to work for the entire 10-week program.
Location: This position is in-person at our Jewelry Design and Innovation Workshop in New York, NY.
Salary: Compensation for this position is $25 per hour working a total of 40 hours per week.
