  RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Through this internship, you will gain real world experience working with the multiple aspects of a complex Customer Information System and the integrated systems. This will include database querying, report development, and testing system changes.
  • A qualified candidate will be ready to dive into the analytical process of implementing new system configuration by assisting our Systems Analysts with testing changes, querying data and developing reports.
  • You will be a team member on projects that meet our strategic objectives, allowing you to participate in all phases of process improvement, from research and development to implementation of new solutions.
  • You will also play a part in systems maintenance by researching, analyzing and evaluating issues surrounding existing products, processes and systems.

  REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must currently be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program with an expected graduation date between December 2024 and June 2026
    
    • Preferred majors include: Business Analytics, Business Administration, Accounting, Consumer Insights and Analytics, Management Information Systems and Mathematics
  • Flexible with each day being different and full of exciting opportunities to learn
  • Ability to dive into identifying problems, developing solutions and taking action to resolve
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Candidates may be subject to assessment of skills, job match, or aptitude

  DETAILS & DURATION OF INTERNSHIP:

  • This internship will report in person to Duluth, MN
  • This role is anticipated to begin June 2024
  • The internship will be full time during summer with the possibility of extending to a part time basis during academic terms up until graduation
  • ALLETE will comply with college requirements
  • Hours and duration are subject to change based on company needs
