Consolidating existing resources on the unmet needs for women in Lung Cancer and COPD to develop market archetype specific patient journey pain points and opportunities that can be validated by therapeutic experts externally.
Design and prepare for advisory board with key therapeutic experts to validate these patient journey unmet needs and develop a positioning statement to reinforce the importance of addressing these pain points when advancing innovative prevention, care and treatment in Lung Cancer and COPD.
This internship will provide hands-on experience engaging in cross-functional and regional teams across Pharma Medicines to identify and validate shared value opportunities that will contribute to generating actionable recommendations for Roche to enhance patient value in these disease areas.
Familiar with the disease areas of Lung Cancer and Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) (preferred)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
Knowledge of patient experience principles and best practices.
Experience with customer journey mapping tools and techniques.
Fluent in English

The Opportunity
As innovation continues to advance in the prevention care and treatment of Lung Cancer and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), there is a high need to ensure current efforts in improving patient health outcomes recognise and account for scientific evidence, care and access gaps based on biological sex.
A women-centric approach to Lung Cancer and COPD care may help address sex- and gender-specific differences in diagnosis and care delivery. Benefits for women could include improved management of symptoms and overall disease and enhanced quality of life.
This internship provides the opportunity to collaborate across Roche Pharma Medicines’ global and country teams to map the treatment journey for Lung Cancer and COPD with international therapeutic experts, focusing on identifying pain points that affect females differently across various health ecosystem archetypes.

IP2TIS is looking for passionate change-makers who are committed to closing the equity gap in care and treatment for women in Lung Cancer and COPD. With your agility, creative mindset, and diverse academic background you will directly contribute to Roche’s purpose in doing now what patients need next.
Who You Are
You are enrolled or have completed your Master’s/MBAs studies at a university, preferably in the field of business administration or biomedical sciences or health-related discipline within the last 12 months and are interested in applying your knowledge in a modern working environment as part of an internship of at least 3 months and getting to know the pharmaceutical industry.
