We are looking for Specialists and Team Members to join us in crafting a wide variety of vehicles from the Mercedes-Maybach GLS SUV to our all-electric electric vehicle, the EQS SUV and EQE SUV. Our Tuscaloosa County site is home to the production of Mercedes’ luxury SUV models, including electric vehicles. Just down the road in Bibb County, MBUSI has launched the production of high-performance lithium-ion batteries. Our two campuses are among the most advanced automotive manufacturing facilities in the world, with over 6 million square feet combined.

      Essential Functions:

      • Support coordination of Work Package #2 as part of go4ward@MBUSI. This WP focuses on increasing OEE in the shops.
      • Prepare and support project documents and templates. Facilitate project meetings, steering committees, and management reviews.
      • Support development of cascaded shopfloor boards.
      • Develop & optimize process flow for purchasing and approvals of materials.
      • Support implementation of pilot on using simplified terms & conditions for dealing with smaller suppliers.

      Other Regular Daily Tasks:

      • Planning, coordination and communication of various projects and tasks
      • Preparation of system acceptance, creation and tracking of various initiatives
      • Execution of meetings and creation of meeting minutes
      • General support

      QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all must be met in order to qualify for position.

      Education :

      Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, Finance/Controlling, Architecture, Civil Engineering or in a related area, and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

      Necessary Skills, Certifications, etc .:

      • Fluent in English and German (oral/written)
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
      • Team-oriented
      • Distinctive interpersonal skills
      • Good verbal communication skills
      • Affinity for numbers
      • Good organizational skills
      • Structured & self-reliant

      Preferred Start Date:

      • July 2025

      Benefits:

      • Paid internship - hourly rate $18
      • Coverage of visa costs
      • $700 housing bonus

      Requirements:

      • Currently enrolled in University or in a gap year between Bachelor's and Master’s degree
      • Studies outside of the U.S.A (we are not accepting applications from students who are currently studying in the U.S.A)
      • A minimum of 3 semesters of studies in relevant field of study
      • Available for a minimum of 6 months
