  At VSP Vision, we're on a mission to help people see every possibility—and we do that through our strategic business pillars that work together to connect nearly 90 million patients and their health data to network doctors in a variety of settings across the globe. You'll join the Eyefinity team responsible for processing millions of Clearing House Transactions.

  As the Software Engineering Intern, you'll have the unique opportunity to partner with Senior Engineers and support a dynamic team across its primary functions. You’ll have the unique opportunity to gain a broad range of experience in the many elements that contribute to the daily operations of a multi-faceted enterprise and develop critical business competencies through various task s which may include:

  • Partner in the coding/development/maintenance, testing and implementation of systems
  • Partner in the design of solutions to solve business problems while learning the business functions supported by the system. Partner in the coding/development/maintenance, testing and implementation of systems
  • Partner in the design of solutions to solve business problems while learning the business functions supported by the system

  Preferred Skills:

  • Programming experience in one or more current programming languages
  • Java; Java Frameworks; JavaScript; Software Engineering; SQL Database Queries

  Qualities of the ideal candidate:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for simple problems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties

  Job-Related Requirements:

  • Facilities to work remotely, including private or semi-private workspace
  • Access to high-speed internet
  • Technology will be provided

  Education Level: 3rd year/4 th y ear college

  Degree Target: Computer Science

  Program Dates: June 2 nd to Aug 8 th (You must be able to work the full 10 weeks)

  Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.

  Salary Ranges: $26.50 - $36.50
