  Position: Software Test Engineer Trainee Duration: Full-time 8h/day, 6 months contract with the possibility to extend
  Location: Hybrid in Athens, Greece
  

  Education Recommendations:

  Currently a candidate for a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field;

  The Trainee performs delegated tasks with the objective to take over more and more responsibilities and learn all required skills for his / her future job. The main purpose of this job is to gain experience of all aspects of a selected area.

  Qualifications

  Must-have skills:

  • Passion for computer networking, coding, and software testing
  • Experience with IP networking traffic and routing (including debugging tools)
  • Basic skills in shell scripting and Python
  • Ability to work independently while following guidelines
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken)

  Nice-to-have skills:

  • Understanding of CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) processes
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems and network administration
  • Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and tools
  • Understanding of the Ansible framework

  Responsibilities

  • Creating and executing detailed test cases
  • Automating tests using Python and Robot Framework
  • Debugging and troubleshooting complex systems to ensure optimal functionality

• About the company

  Nokia’s transition to a primary focus on telecommunications began in the 1990s. The first GSM call was made in 1991 using Nokia equipment. Rapid success in the mobile phone sector allowed Nokia to become by 1998, the best-selling mobile phone brand in the world. In 2003 Nokia introduced the first camera phone. In 2011, to address increasing competition from iOS and Android operating systems, Nokia entered into a strategic partnership with Microsoft. In 2014 Nokia sold its mobile and devices division to Microsoft.
