Job Description
- Req#: req3905
- Assist in researching and developing new composite materials, processes and technologies
- Gain insights into the production of composite components and structures, as well as optimizing manufacturing processes
- Conduct tests and experiments to evaluate the performance and properties of composite materials, components and systems
- Take ownership of smaller composite systems or projects, from design and analysis to validation and hands-on manufacturing, ensuring their successful execution and meeting project objectives
- Current bachelor's or master's student in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
- Strong interest in rocketry/space and a passion for working with composite materials
- A hands-on mentality and/or prior experience in composite production, such as involvement in related projects, participation in student racing teams, rocketry teams, or similar endeavors
- Experience in CAD software, particularly Siemens NX
- Familiarity with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) tools and analytical calculation methods
- Fluent oral and written English skills, as all day-to-day activities are conducted in English
