      Saratoga Medical is currently hiring a Full-Time (Flexible Hours) Intraoperative Neuromonitoring Technician – IONM at Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, TX. The position includes a competitive rate, PTO, paid federal holidays, medical benefits and flexible scheduling.

      Position Summary:

      • The IONM Technologist provides real-time neurophysiological monitoring during surgical procedures to reduce the risk of neurological deficits. Technologists work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and neurophysiologists to ensure patient safety and surgical success.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Perform monitoring during spinal (75%) and cranial (25%) surgeries using modalities including:
      • SSEP, Transcranial MEP, EMG, EEG, Phase Reversal, ECOG
      • Pedicle screw stimulation, cranial nerve monitoring, and rare procedures like D-waves, direct cortical stimulation, sphincter EMG
      • Maintain continuous communication with the surgeon and neurophysiologist
      • Set up, test, and troubleshoot all monitoring equipment pre-, intra-, and post-operatively
      • Document and report significant waveform changes per facility protocol
      • Comply with sterile procedures, OR safety, HIPAA standards, and documentation requirements
      • Support continuity of care; remain past shift end if critical to patient outcome
      • Re-deploy within facility during low caseload periods if required

      Required Qualifications:

      • Certification: CNIM (ABRET) or Certification from ABNM (mandatory)
      • Training: Minimum 12 weeks of hands-on IONM training
      • Experience: Prior OR-based neurophysiological monitoring preferred
