Interventional Radiology Technologist 1: IR Tech Training Program, Winter 2024

Inova Health System’s Fairfax Hospital is looking for a Interventional Radiology Technologist 1 to join our IR Tech Training Program, Winter 2024. This opportunity is a 10-month program and includes full benefits, hands-on training, pay, and more!

What you need to know:

• 10 month program, full-time
• Must complete minimum of 5 weekend and 20 weekday on-call shifts - regular hours will be 730am-6pm, 4 days per week
• Benefits & pay will be offered
• Upon successful program completion & IR board certification, continue as a full-time IR Technologist
• Program consists of:
  • Clinical rotations at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus – to include scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring IR and operating room procedures
  • Lecture with hands-on workshops

Requirements:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiography
• Experience: Some experience as a Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology Technologist
• Certification: BLS from the AHA; ARRT registered with a BLS from the American Heart Association
• Other:
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher in college coursework
  • Copy of current ARRT card
  • Official Transcripts from all previous college coursework, including radiography program
  • 500 word essay on why Interventional Radiology is your chosen career path (personal statement)
