      Intimacy Coordinator/Technical Specialist (Theatre)

      Job Summary:

      Theatrical intimacy coordination for Theatre Department classes and productions; theatrical technical work on productions.

      Job Description:

      The Intimacy Coordinator/Technical Specialist (IC/TS) will work with students, faculty and staff to establish proper protocols for staging scenes that involve nudity or hyper-exposed work, simulated sex acts, and/or intimate physical contact. This work may be tailored to specific courses, presented as a general workshop, or performed as part of the rehearsal process for a curricular production, any of the above to be mutually agreed and arranged in advance with Department staff. Work on curricular productions may include advocacy for performers, serving as a liaison between production departments, and/or choreography of specific moments in collaboration with the director. In addition the IC/TS may assist department production staff with technical tasks, including but not limited to scenic carpentry, painting, and setup of lighting and sound equipment. The IC/TS will work at all times in a manner conducive to safe working procedures and conditions, and must be capable of instructing students in same. Must be comfortable working at heights (ladders, genie lifts, and scaffolding), be able to lift 50lbs, and be able to stand on feet for long periods of time.

      PAY : $35/hr - $35/hr

      Skills, Qualifications & Requirements:

      - HS diploma or GED plus 5 years of relevant professional experience, or BA or equivalent degree in Theatre, Drama, or Performance Studies

      - Professional experience in intimacy choreography, coaching, and/or coordination

      - Comfort working at heights (ladders, personnel lifts, scaffolding)

      - Ability to lift 50 lbs

      - Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time

      The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the College's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
