Job Description

- Replenishing inventory in the automated equipment used to prepare customers’ orders
- Cutting tablets into smaller (¼,½) sizes, both manually and using automated pill splitting equipment
- Removing (de-blistering) tablets from foil/blister packs packages
- Separating medications in blister (i.e. foil) into single units
- Gathering inventory for the preparation of specific customer orders
- Packing customer orders for shipment
- Assist with ordering and receiving inventory
- Putting stock inventory away in designated areas
- Expiry date checks and processing
- Destruction and disposal
- Inventory cycle counting
- Drug-recall management
- Replenishing consumable items within the pharmacy
- Perform cleaning/sanitation duties as required
- Other duties as requested by Supervisor
- Ensure that company policies and procedures are respected.
- Communicate with supervisors and Pharmacy Manager of any deviations that occur concerning established procedures.
- Assure that work areas are kept safe, organized and clean.
- Follow company policies and procedures, including Health and Safety policies.
- Clear CPIC (Canadian Police Information Center) check.
- Basic math and reading skills and a high standard for attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds independently and greater weights in a team-lift environment
- Physical requirements include: lifting, carrying, bending, stretching, and standing for long periods of time
- Experience in a pharmacy environment.
- Strong focus of Customer Service and commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Proven ability to be a team player and work in a team environment
- Understanding of regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements.
- Reliable and punctual and willing to work various shifts.

- Excellent organizational skills with ability to set priorities and creatively solve problems.
- Demonstrated success in working effectively and collaboratively within a team environment.

As directed by the Inventory Manager, this position is responsible for the assisting with preparation of inventory for customized orders as per established Policy and Procedures (P&P). The OPC will assist with inventory replenishment of the automated equipment, as well as splitting and removing tablets from packaging to be available for fulfilling orders. Other duties may include assisting with inventory management such as ordering, detailed and digital receiving and putaway, drug recalls, expiries and destruction.
