      BioLegend (a division of Revvity, Inc.) is looking for an Inventory Control Associate - Lab Assistant to join the team. This laboratory position is a key contributor role for the maintenance of the material and inventory in a large biotechnology company. The tasks this individual will perform include transferring to manufacturing, handling antibody material/products in a laboratory environment, performing data entry, and making inventory adjustments to maintain accuracy in an Enterprise Resource Planning system. They will also perform inventory counts to maintain the accuracy of raw materials and bulk products. This individual must be detail-oriented and driven to keep up in a fast-paced environment. This position will work closely with Manufacturing, Planning, Quality Control, Packaging, material specialists, customer service, and Receiving/shipping personnel.

      • Handle antibody products, including aliquoting from bulks, calculating volumes, and reading concentrations.
      • Perform data entry to document material transactions accurately.
      • Aliquot and transfer bulk materials for internal customer use and for inventory needs.
      • Release and finish production orders in the company Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
      • Maintain accuracy of inventories for raw materials, bulk products, and transfer requests.
      • Perform inventory counts and adjustments in the ERP system.
      • Reconcile inventory discrepancies.
      • Document processes and procedures used for material handling.
      • Organize and complete inventory-related projects.
      • Develop and implement efficient inventory management procedures.
      • Create and maintain quality documents in accordance with the company's ISO standards.
      • Monitor materials in the Kanban system.
      • Recommend system/process enhancements.
      • Work independently on tasks and assigned duties.
      • Knowledge of handling questions and troubleshooting on tasks/processes.
      • Instruct and facilitate new associates on performing tasks.
      • Proficient in calculating concentrations and material modification formulas relative to position responsibilities.
      • Track KPI metrics.
      • Release production orders, assign lot numbers, and post consumptions.
      • Enter routing processing times.
      • Output/process material quantities into assigned Bin/order locations.
      • Review and provide updates for written SOP and procedures.
      • Manage special projects or responsibilities as may be required.
      • Report and communicate with Production, QC, Customer Service, Receiving, Planning, and Procurement groups to coordinate material and resource requirements to fulfill production activities.
      • Ensure compliance with company and department policies, procedures, and checklists.
      • Perform other duties as assigned/required.
      • Participate in cross-functional meetings to determine appropriate actions to resolve issues.

      Minimum Qualifications – Education and Experience

      • 1 year of lab experience.
      • 2 years of inventory control experience.

      Preferred Qualifications – Education and Experience

      • Previous experience with Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) or ERP.
      • Experience working under aseptic conditions.
      • Hands-on experience handling antibody materials or chemical buffers.
      • Experience in an ISO13485/MDSAP/FDA environment.
      • Previous experience using UV-VIS spectrophotometer.
      • Prior experience in life science, biotechnology industry, or process manufacturing industry.
      • Prior experience handling multiple product lines with high volume and high mix of SKUs.
      • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems.

      The base salary range for this full-time position is $21-26/hour (including Materials Specialist level I and II range). This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.       Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.

      Work Environment & Physical Demands

      Office

      While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting 30% of the time. The associate is required to be entering/updating detailed information into our ERP system for inventory and product information accuracy. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand/sit, talk, and hear.

      Lab

      While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a laboratory environment 50% of the time. The associate is required to be aliquoting bulk liquid materials for manufacturing and to pipette requested materials for internal testing and production work orders in a timely manner to meet customer demand. The exposure of 2-8°C or -20°C and handling -80°C materials will be required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand or sit while performing tasks.

      Warehouse

      While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a warehouse environment 20% of the time. The associate is required to operate our inventory management system “Perfect Pick” to meet customer demand for internal testing or production work orders. The exposure of 2-8°C or -20°C and handling -80°C materials will be required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk, and hear.
