Job Description

- Works with field office stakeholders to define and implement technical requirements through the sourcing process to ensure needs are met in a timely manner
- Creates and manages PR/ PO/ change orders, buying guide and confirms delegation of authority under general supervision
- Determines best buying channel such as discrete PO, planned service order or blanket purchase order
- Negotiates price and quality of goods purchased and ensures pricing, lead times, delivery and other terms with suppliers are maintained
- Assists with timely establishment and execution of contracts for equipment, materials and/ or services with vendors and resolves purchase order/ invoice and AFE discrepancies
- Oversees, coordinates, analyzes and optimizes use of existing inventory and ensures accuracy in the electronic inventory system
- Performs yard audits of inventory, assesses condition and reconciles differences while identifying obsolete/ surplus items for potential disposition and coordinate sales with third party buyers
- Maintains flow of materials through the well-development process (via purchase order requisitions and material transfers) according to established guidelines and records movement of incoming and outgoing materials transfers to support business unit operations
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Moderate proficiency in ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Moderate knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems
- Understanding of supply chain management policies, process and procedures
- Moderate knowledge of materials for drilling, completions, well and surface facilities as well as the inspection and usage requirements
- Moderate knowledge of market conditions and average pricing for materials
- Moderate proficiency of purchasing, inventory management and accounting principles

Job Summary
This intermediate level position coordinates the requisition, purchase transaction, coordination and movement of materials from the supplier to customer and between departments in order to support production plans and operations.

Candidates must reside or be willing to relocate with a 60-mile radius of the Mansfield Field Office (1970 Highway 84, Mansfield, LA 71052) to be considered for this position.
Education
Minimum: High school diploma or GED
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree - from accredited university
Experience
Minimum: 2 - 5 years related work experience
