- Must be able to read, write and speak English effectively.
- Able to follow oral and written instructions.
- Knowledge of food products and food preparation techniques.
- Position involves bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling up to 25 lbs. and standing for long periods of time.
- Working in a cold environment (2-10 degrees) with some exposure to -18 degrees.
- Exposure to chemical cleaning supplies.
- Numeric calculation of menu service requirements.
- Use of industrial food production equipment.
- Ability to adapt to changing tasks.
- Ability to work as a team member and independently in a time sensitive environment.

Position Overview
The incumbent is responsible for preparing and manipulating products according to standardized recipes and tallies to meet service requirements. Preparation may include numeric calculation, decasing, tempering, decanting, portioning, depositing, weighing, fortification, and texture modification. Preparation includes safe and productive use of industrial food production equipment. Ensures safe food handling and sanitation practices and procedures are maintained during all stages of product preparation and storage. Cleans and sanitizes equipment and service areas. Participates in Quality Assurance Programs.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
