      Basic Job Functions:

      The role of the Finished Goods Inventory Coordinator encompasses various responsibilities aimed at maintaining the accuracy of the finished product inventory, with a primary focus on assisting and streamlining the shipping department. This includes collaborating closely with the Sales, Scheduling, Hot Mill, and Quality Departments daily to address quality issues, manage heat releases, oversee coil packaging, handle aged inventory, and process loads efficiently.

      The Inventory Coordinator will play a crucial role in establishing a cycle count program and devising metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to gauge and enhance inventory accuracy. Additionally, during mill construction, this position will entail extensive communication and coordination with our Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) partners to ensure accurate inventory of equipment received at site.

      Nucor Steel West Virginia is Nucor's new sheet mill with advanced steelmaking capabilities. This is a greenfield project, which is estimated to be fully operational in 2025. The new steel mill will employ 800 full-time teammates producing up to 3 million tons per year at one of the most technologically advanced sheet mills. This advanced manufacturing facility is to be located along the Ohio River in close proximity to both Huntington and Charleston, WV.

      Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • High School diploma or equivalent.
      • Five years of experience in inventory Planning and materials management in industrial/ manufacturing setting.
      • Knowledge of Shipping / Transportation / Logistics functions i.e. Oracle, Carrier Point Transportation

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Microsoft Office experience, i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
      • Strong computer skills.
      • Materials management experience in either industrial or construction setting.
