      JOB DESCRIPTION

      Job Title: Inventory Control Coordinator

      Department: Finance Department

      Reports To: Purchasing Manager

      Location: Winter Haven, Florida 33881

      FLSA Status: Non- Exempt

      Job Type: Full-time; Hourly Rate (TBA)

      Shift: 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, Occasional Saturday

      SUMMARY

      The Inventory Control Coordinator will be responsible for receiving and issuing materials. Must be a reliable professional with excellent recordkeeping abilities, possess great attention to detail, and have a business mindset. The role involves ensuring the efficient and accurate management of inventory, focusing on the needs of the construction industry, particularly in areas such as pipe, underground utility, sitework, earthwork, concrete, asphalt, and paving.


      ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Receive, inspect, and verify quantity and quality of the incoming materials and supplies.
      • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and transactions.
      • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
      • Ensure proper storage and handling of materials to prevent damage or loss.
      • Update/ monitor inventory level and reorder in material management program.
      • Analyze inventory data to forecast future needs and prevent overstocking or stockouts.
      • Manage inventory control procedures to improve efficiency, accuracy, and delivery coordination with suppliers.
      • Work closely with the Purchasing Manager to provide inventory-related information and support.
      • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
      • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and address any inventory-related issues.
      • Able to safely transport material by using a forklift, heavy equipment or a vehicle.

      QUALIFICATIONS

      To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.       • At least three (3) years of experience in inventory control.
      • Proficient in computer use, including inventory management software and MS Office Suite.
      • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
      • Knowledge of construction materials, particularly those used in underground utility, sitework, and earthwork projects.
      • Working knowledge of inventory management software.

      PHYSICAL DEMANDS

      • Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
      • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
      • Occasional climbing and balancing when inspecting inventory.
      • May be asked to travel to visit vendors or different company locations.

      WORK ENVIRONMENT

      • Primarily work on construction sites and HQ.
      • Exposure to outdoor conditions when handling materials stored outside.
      • Visits to construction sites for inventory assessments.
      • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
      • Typical working hours are 7:00 am – 5:30 pm (40-50 hours per week), with occasional overtime as needed to meet project deadlines and inventory demands.
