The Inventory Service Specialist ensures efficient inventory management in a manufacturing environment by maintaining accurate records, preparing materials for orders, optimizing stock levels, and supporting production to meet customer needs and organizational objectives.
Essential Functions:
Promote accident-free operations by adhering to all health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
Follow plant safety procedures to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
Oversee the receiving, storage, and retrieval of inventory items.
Prepare materials for end-of-line customer order fulfillment (kitting).
Maintain accurate inventory records and track inventory movements.
Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies and ensure inventory accuracy.
Collaborate with departments to forecast demand and replenish stock effectively.
Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
Generate reports on inventory turnover, stock levels, and other key metrics.
Work with the purchasing team to optimize stock levels and minimize carrying costs.
Implement best practices for inventory management and contribute to continuous process improvements.
Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.Payrate is 30.00 an hour depending on experience.
Position Qualifications: Education:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) – Required
Successful Forklift Training – RequiredExperience:
Minimum of 3 years of Inventory Control experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment – Required
Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency in Excel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in basic math (whole numbers, fractions, and decimals).
Ability to safely operate a forklift in tight spaces.
Professionalism and a customer service-oriented approach.Key Notes:
