      Job Summary

      The Investigator is responsible for conducting investigations of alleged criminal or other activity that may have a negative impact on Comcast or our customers. Investigations include addressing employee or non-employee criminal activity or internal misconduct including violations of Company policy. Investigations include, but are not limited to theft of services, theft of Company property, vandalism, forgery, fraud, retail business sales misconduct, embezzlement, workplace violence, assaults, burglary, threatening behavior, or other misconduct that impacts the Comcast / Xfinity brand. Investigators are responsible for conducting Comcast property and physical security assessments.

      Job Description

      Core Responsibilities

      • Conducts interviews of alleged offenders, witnesses, and victims of Code of Conduct violations and/or crimes committed against Comcast or its employees.
      • Works with senior investigators and management to plan, coordinate, and conduct difficult and complex investigations related to internal and external security issues. This includes but is not limited to; searching records, securing documents, performing surveillance, and preparing reports with minimal direction.
      • Prepares clear, comprehensive, and cohesive investigative reports and statistical data in a timely manner.
      • Ensures that all investigations / inquiries are completely objective and brought to a logical conclusion in the best interest of the Company.
      • Establishes connections between alleged offenders and other violators by linking evidence uncovered from various sources.
      • Collects, documents, stores, and maintain evidence according to the chain of custody guidelines.
      • Assists in conducting audits to ensure compliance with applicable security standards.
      • Aids in matters associated with internal or external generated security issues through identification of causative factors, appropriate course(s) of action, foreseeing future issues and innovating means of rendering complex and sensitive situations manageable.
      • Assists in conducting physical security assessments and incident reports; interfaces with business partners to address security risks / findings.
      • Communicates and directs effective prevention strategies ensuring appropriate controls are in place at the discretion of management.
      • Reviews and analyzes investigative operations and processes to identify security vulnerabilities and weaknesses in order to recommend strategies for prevention, mitigation, and recovery.
      • Testifies under oath in municipal, superior, and federal court and administrative hearings as needed.
      • Collaborates with Company stakeholders including but not limited to Human Resources, Legal, Compliance, Environmental Health and Safety, Business Continuity, etc.
      • Develops and maintains excellent working relationships with peers in the industry, local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, government agencies and emergency services to achieve maximum results and business support.
      • Communicates investigative information acquired on a need-to-know basis only.
      • Presents training programs to employees on a plethora of security related topics, to include but not limited to security awareness, robbery and fraud prevention, workplace violence, sales integrity, etc.
      • Enforces security policies and procedures across respective footprint.
      • Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and overtime, as needed.
      • Must be willing to travel up to 5%.
      • Other duties as assigned.

      Required Qualifications

      • Experience with law enforcement, intelligence, public service, or private sector security organization.
      • Experience conducting multi-jurisdictional investigations in collaboration with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
      • Knowledge of Federal, state, or local regulations relevant to the Company (i.e., PCI, CPNI, SOX, HIPAA, and data privacy).
      • Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including conflict resolution skills.
      • Outstanding written and verbal communication and strong presentation skills.
      • Proactive risk management skills to identify, assess, and mitigate threats.
      • Proficient in contemporary / advanced interviewing techniques or protocols.
      • Maintain the highest ethical and professional standards.

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Certification or accreditation from a risk or security management program such as: Certified Security Project Manager (CSPM), Associate Protection Professional (APP), Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), Certified Fraud Investigator (CFI), or Professional Certified Investigator (PCI).
      • Certification from an interviewing and interrogation program such as Wicklander-Zulawski & Associates, John E. Reid & Associates, or LSI Laboratory for Scientific Interrogation, Inc. (SCAN).
      • Knowledge of video camera systems, intrusion detection systems (IDS), access control systems, and digital video recorders (DVR).

      Bachelor's Degree
